Founded by Sagar Tamang — a Director and Director of Photography born and raised in Nepal, now firmly rooted in Canberra — Golay Productions is a specialist video production studio creating cinematic content for cafés, restaurants, and hospitality brands across the ACT.

Sagar's background is in storytelling. Since 2019, he has directed and shot short films, official music videos, and brand promotional content — developing a sharp visual instinct and a deep understanding of how moving image connects with an audience. That foundation in narrative filmmaking is what sets Golay Productions apart: every piece of content, whether a 30-second fast-cut promo or a behind-the-scenes kitchen reel, is treated with the craft and intention of a proper production.

The decision to specialise in food and hospitality wasn't accidental. Having worked with venues like Cafe Piccolo Bar and seen firsthand how the right content transforms the way people discover and choose a place to eat, Sagar saw a clear gap: Canberra's hospitality scene is world-class, but most of its businesses are underserved when it comes to quality video. Golay Productions was built to close that gap.
